An Experience :: Une expérience

Today I went to the Montreal Highland Games in Pierrefonds… thank you Tyrone Smith for the tickets, they were very appreciated. So because of this, I did not have the time to sit down outside and do a plein-air painting (as it was pouring rain outside when I came back home) so I decided to open a book from a watercolour master and paint one of his paintings. So this is how it turned out.

C’est une technique totalement différente car le dessin n’est pas contourné avec de l’encre noire. Tout est fait au crayon puis directement à la peinture après… les contours sont plus flous. Ce que j’aime de cette peinture est le feuillage des arbres, les couleurs et les ombres sur le côté de la maison… je ne nommerai pas les imperfections car j’en aurais long à écrire ;-)
