Here is the majestic Notre Dame Basilica where at night there is an incredible show of lights within the Basilica. I painted this concentrating on the following colours. French Ultramarine, Yellow Ochre, Transparent Yellow and some Mayan Blue. Today I find that this painting is a bit fad after having scanned it. It is true that I have a fairly cheap scanner, as it is a 3-in-1 type of scanner, but still. The colours are much more vibrant in reality, but being the purist that I am I do not want to fiddle with it in Photoshop to bring out the vibrancy of the colours.

Voici notre Basilique Notre-Dame dans le Vieux Port de Montréal. Ce que j’aime de cette photo est le fait que la basilique se retrouve seule, en pointant vers le ciel. Comme vous le savez par mes blogs précédents, évidemment qu’elle n’est pas seule… la tour de la Banque de Montréal domine le ciel derrière elle, mais j’aime qu’elle soit unique dans ce ciel bleu.
