St. Louis Square :: Carré St-Louis

This was our last workshop day and we painted in St. Louis Square. Many poets, actors and writers live here and  real estate prices here are quite steep. It was a grey day so I painted with Payne’s Grey… usually a colour that I reserve for winter. I did something today that I do not do often and that is to draw first, then paint, and  in the end I took a fountain pen to draw in some lines and give it some “umph”. The square has victorian row houses that date back from the 1870s.
