“I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are;
Because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star.
I’d rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far;
For a might-have-been has never been, but a has was once an are.”
(Milton Berle)

If I had one place to hang out on weekends in Montreal, surely this would be one of the places. You have it all! The waterfront, bike trails, old beautiful buildings, entertainment, great restaurants, tons of activities, exhibitions of all kind, a marina and I pass. And these beautiful vintage old silo buildings which are part of Montreal’s history!

  1. DEAR JANE: Another gorgeous drawing = done to perfection. Your talent should have been discovered when you were very young. The result would surely have proved to be surprising. Please keep drawing and never give it up – that is too precious. MOM >

  2. I saw some of these buildings along the Lachine Canal last year. My dad and I went biking from Lachine down to the Old Port, we stopped at this bicycle bar around halfway down and there was a grain elevator similar to this which looked like it had a shed on the top. The Five Roses Flour Building is also an interesting industrial building I saw much closer to Downtown.

    1. You are right Shawn — the Five Roses Flour Building is a bit more west then where we were… we were at the corner of McGill and Les Communes… hope that you had a nice bike ride -)))
