In the morning the sea is dead calm and at noon the winds start picking up — thanfully I might add as it is very hot here — but not too hot for my taste.
For this painting I decided to use four different yellows for the coconut fronds… MG Azo Yellow, Sennelier Yellow, New Gamboge and Q. Gold all of them mixed with Cobalt Blue. I find that greens are difficult to paint in watercolour and thankfully, using this method it does not get boring… yeah!
Paper: Travelogue Sketchbook 8″ x8″
Location: Bucerias, Niyarit, Mexico
Nice painting, I like the texture, and varying thicknesses of lines in the fronds, and tree trunks.
