Walking as a creative fuel
“Nature’s particular gift to the walker…
is to set the mind jogging,
to make it garrulous,
exalted,
a little mad maybe — certainly creative and suprasensitive.”

My 92-year old Mom had a funeral to go to in Valleyfield today and I accompanied her. One of her very old-time friends, Anita, died last week and the memories that accompany her are joyful and at the end very sad.

For this dreary, grey and mild Sunday (about 1C) I parked my car in front of this house for sale. As I was getting ready to get out of the car, I noticed the windows, the roof, the stained glass windows of this house and I thought to myself that this must be a well built house and probably not too expensive. I hope that the people that buy it honour it, in some way or the other, and respect its simple beauty. Its only disadvantage is being right in front of a funeral home…

Dear Jane: This is truly a work of art. The details are exquisite and minute. The house is appealing just waiting for someone to enter it and make it HOME. I visualize it somewhere in St.Louis de Gonzague. MOM >
