Old Abandoned Farmhouse :: Vieille ferme abandonnée

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields
that it kisses them so gently?
And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt;
and perhaps it says
“Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
— Lewis Carroll

On the last day of February the sun was blazing and it felt hotter than it has in many weeks and the forecast is showing that tomorrow we might actually reach +3°C… which will feel very warm for us. This week is our March Break and it is very welcome, as I do have quite a bit of correcting to do and my plan is to paint, read, soak up a bit of sun and relax… Here is an old farmhouse on St. George Road that I have painted before and which I love, even though it is quite dilapidated as no one has been living there for quite awhile now. No matter, the setting is gorgeous!
