I have just got back home and am happy to say that the semester is finished…. well at least the teaching part. Let the correcting commence! This morning I had to go for a doctor’s appointment, and I left earlier than was needed to go to the Apple Store to try and get a diagnostic test done as Sunday it just stopped working. As I was waiting for someone to help me, I realized that this store was the perfect place for people sketching! People are so absorbed with their devices they would not notice that I was drawing them, and as I am a shy painter/illustrator, the match was made in heaven. I had the leisure of painting a young woman who’s back was facing me (sigh of relief) and also an older couple that stayed in the same position for the whole drawing.
Je viens d’arriver chez moi et je suis contente et soulagée que la session soit finie… du moins l’enseignement… que la correction commence! Ce matin je devais aller voir un médecin et je suis partie très de bonne heure pour arrêter au Apple Store car mon ordi a cessé de fonctionner dimanche. Pouf! Juste comme ça, ni plus ni moins. Comme j’attendais pour être servie toutes ces personnes étaient absorbées sur leurs claviers et étant une peintre timide de peindre en public, l’opportunité était parfaite car eux ne s’apercevraient jamais ce que j’étais en train de faire. Une jeune femme qui était très attentive à son écran (soupir de soulagement), et un vieux couple qui ne bougeaient pas, presque immobiles — jusqu’au temps du moins que mon dessin soit fini -)
