Listening to the glorious music of J. S. Bach’s, St. Matthew Passion No. 65 Aria, it is uplifting even on the dreariest of days, such as today. One of my painting philosophies is to try and recreate the “atmosphere” that existed on that day. As today was a very grey and bleak day, there were no shadows, the sky, mountains and even the air all had the same tinge of greyness… with droplets of water falling once in awhile.
Écoutant la glorieuse musique de J. S Bach, La passion de St-Matthew Aria n° 65, elle est édifiante, voire même exaltante surtout une journée grise comme aujourd’hui. Une de mes philosophies en peinture est d’essayer de recréer “l’atmosphère” qui existait cette journée-là. Journée sombre, il n’y avait pas d’ombre, le ciel, les montagnes et même l’air avaient tous la même teinte de gris … avec des gouttelettes d’eau qui tombaient de temps en temps.
