The answer to the riddle in my previous post was “Mountains”! When I was young, I started reading The Hobbit and I could not believe what I was reading! I had never read anything like it, a world of magic of epic proportions where a diverse group of people came together to save Middle Earth from the Dark Lord. On that day, thanks to Tolkien, I became an avid reader. I painted this scene at my John Abbott campus and the watercolour paper that is so good with watercolours does not like my very thin fountain pen strokes. The pens could not glide on the paper and were scratching their way through the lines. So this Pentalic paper will be reserved to paintings with no ink lines.
La réponse à l’énigme dans mon blog précédent était «montagnes»! Quand j’était jeune, j’ai commencé à lire The Hobbit et je ne pouvais pas croire ce que je lisais! Je n’avais jamais lu quelque chose comme ça, un monde de magie où un groupe diversifié de gens sont venus ensemble pour sauver la planète du seigneur noir. Ce jour-là, grâce à Tolkien, je suis devenue une lectrice avide. Le papier Pentalic n’aime pas les traits minces de ma plume fontaine et la plume grattait sur la surface du papier au lieu de glisser. Donc, ce cahier sera réservé pour la peinture sans lignes d’encre.
