A moment of pure joy :: Moment de joie pure

I’m a painter first. I sing my sorrow and I paint my joy.
— Joni Mitchell

Following on yesterday’s post, we finished our negative space flower/leaves painting. The aim is to outline the outside of the objects and when two objects meet, then one of the contours has to disappear… the inside contour, as we are keeping only the outside contour. I have posted the picture of the leaves that I drew for comprehension purposes. Once the outlines were done, then we wet our paper and started dropping/pulling/swirling/dragging the China Ink on the paper — it was pure joy -)

Paper: Bockingford CP 9″x12″

  1. Jane, good for you, I love how you find joy in your art and your daily life, people go through their whole lives and never find joy! Keep on painting the joy!
