Dreaming of warmer climes :: En rêvant de chaleur

After another gruelling weekend of correcting and prepping, where I had no time to relax, read, paint or draw, I sat down under the beautiful waning sun just now and daydreamed of having my two feet in the warm sand, near the lapping waves of the sea with a parasol over my head. Ommmm -) So I picked up my fountain pen and just drew my daydream… I rarely do this, as I find that we learn more by drawing from observation than drawing what is in our head? But ohhhhh! What an enjoyable activity that this was… I might paint it tomorrow if I have the time…

Après une autre fin de semaine de corrections, et de préparations où je n’ai eu aucun temps pour lire, dessiner ou peindre ou même juste relaxer un peu, je me suis assise finalement il y a très peu de temps pour savourer le restant du soleil chaud et aussitôt je suis partie dans la lune. Je me suis vue, les deux pieds dans le sable, au bord de la mer, bien au chaud sous un parasol et j’ai dessiné ce que j’avais dans la tête. Je dessine très rarement de cette façon car je préfère dessiner ou peindre par observation… la littérature indique que les élèves apprennent bien plus vite, et mieux, de cette façon. Ohhhh! Mais quelle joie de le faire cet après-midi -)
