Westmount Conservatory :: Take 3

As I find this building most beautiful I have painted it from another angle – this is the third time that I paint it. I have also tried implementing what I learned in the workshop… create a first wash throughout the painting, then apply a middle wash and then put in the details. Also, find a focal point and enhance it. I hope that I have done it justice, as it is truly amazing. My perspective is improving as I am repainting it over and over and it will be etched forever in my head, in my hand and in my heart.

Voici la photo de cette peinture… cette bâtisse est tellement belle que ça fait trois fois que je la peint. Une question que je me demande… est-ce que j’aime cette bâtisse à cause que ça fait trois fois que je la paint? Et que je suis venue à la connaître de fond en comble? Je trouve que peindre est un acte qui est très intime… le peintre se met à connaître tous les coins, racoins, surfaces claires et foncées, textures que l’objet a… en plus de voir toutes ses couleurs, les bruits qui se passent alentour. J’aime bien!
