Screen Porch

You know that it is hot when your dog plops into the brook and stays there without moving for 15 minutes. He actually zoned out and seemed to be in a zen state — I am quite sure that Siddhārtha Gautama Buddha would have appreciated this moment. So after our little walk on our lot, and that little plop in the brook, we zoned out in the screen porch today. So here it is…
On sait qu’il fait chaud quand le pitou va s’asseoir dans le ruisseau et reste là, très zen, pendant 15 minutes–il était vraiment dans la lune–super comique. Le ruisseau est pour Pyper autant que le spa est pour nous, et à 88ºF, était juste assez rafraîchissant pour qu’on puisse se maintenir au frais et laisser nos esprits s’éparpiller. Donc aujourd’hui nous avons séjourné chez nous, dans le moustiquaire… l’endroit le plus frais dans cette chaleur de plomb.
